Support Those Affected by the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria
We found ourselves wondering how to help those recently affected by the devastating February 6th earthquake in Turkey and Syria. If you found yourself in the same position, we encourage you to donate to one of the various organizations we have listed below (compiled from various sources).
International Rescue Committee: Displaced children and their families are in grave danger. No power, no water and inadequate shelter that won’t keep out the cold. Help the IRC send emergency supplies to children and families. All first monthly gifts matched. Donate here.
Direct Relief: Direct Relief is working to mobilize medical aid deliveries to help address immediate and near-term medical needs in coordination with local officials and agencies to ensure efficiency and avoid bottlenecks. Direct Relief is deploying medical supplies including medication to treat people with injuries and pre-existing medical conditions, such as field medic packs, antibiotics and other essential medicines, as well as oral rehydration solutions and hygiene items for those displaced from their homes.
