MedWorld Advisors @ AAOS 2021

After a “COVID Cancellation” in 2020, it was exciting to return to an AAOS (American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons) event. This year’s conference was held in San Diego, CA – which made attending even that much more enjoyable!

Attending for MedWorld Advisors was Co-Founder and Managing Director, Dave Sheppard. Dave’s itinerary included meeting with several large Fortune 500 companies, on behalf of the interests of our clients. Dave also had the pleasure of meeting with some exciting companies in the Orthopedic space that are beginning to think about their Exit Strategy and/or their Strategic Partnerships.

Unfortunately, mostly due to the emergence of the recent Delta variant of COVID, overall Surgeon attendance was down for this year’s AAOS event. However, in speaking with many of the exhibitors, they were very pleased with the quality of conversations with both Surgeon attendees as well as the business conversations with potential strategic collaborators and partners. It was encouraging to see all the positive activity in new technologies (both devices and digital enabling solutions). The future remains bright in this market segment.

MedWorld plans to attend next year’s event – which will be held in March in Chicago. We look forward to an exciting event as the world continues to collaborate on positive achievements in the Orthopedics space. And we remain grateful to continue to play our part in creating value thru bring parties together for strategic developments in inorganic growth. We enjoy helping all parties obtain their stakeholder objectives. Industry events, like AAOS, help us to get people together to achieve these results. We hope to see you at a conference soon!
